The first blood drive held by Bogota Fire Dept. Engine #1 and Hook & Ladder #1 was held on Thursday 27-Sept. It was held in the back room of the W. Broad St Firehouse. Organized by Michael Brophy, and held in conjunction with Community Blood Services. They were hoping to get at least 30 donors to be considered a success, the final donor count was 32. Many of the donors were fellow firefighters, and heath care workers who know the importance of a adequate supply of replacement blood stock.
