Last night the Bogota Fire Dept. Hose co. # 2 held it's third annual Comedy Night. It was held at the Elks Club in Ridgefield Park, NJ. Not only were friends & family locally in attendance, but several tables were bought by Fire Dept. from other Boroughs. Elmwood Park & Bergenfield companies came to show their support for the Bogota Fire Fighters. Members of Hose # 2 were gracious hosts serving the food prepared by Capt. Muhlhahn. Other members of the company went out their way to make sure the guest were looked after, and shown a good time.
The show started with M.C. Joe Fernandes, followed by Bill Chaig then headliner Danny Lobell. As with most visitors to the area the normal jokes about how to pronoun the name Bogota, and the fact that an event in one town is really for a group from another, and many in attendance are from many different places. Show the New Jersey many be a lot of small towns, but they can stand together for a good cause.
After a night of good times and many laughs it is reported that the dinner has raise mony to help upgrade the firehouse used by the " Top of the Hill Gang" to help in their efforts as part of the all volunteer Bogota Fire Dept.
