The Village of Ridgefield Park had it's Earth Day festival yesterday in Riverside Park along the banks of the Hackensack River. There were informational booths set-up to help residents find out how to keep a safe and healthy environment by the Ridgefield Park Shade Tree Commission , and the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission. Animal displays were brought from The Tenafly Nature Center, and the Wildlife Conservation & Education Center (WCEC) of Ridgefield Park.
The children had a change to get there face painted, go on a scavenger hunt for natural item, and to even pet some exotic animals from the WCEC. All attendees had a chanceto take advantage of a brisk and clear day along the banks of the Hackensack River.
Music was provide by the Risky Business Blue Grass Band.
