The Teaneck Knights of Columbus Hall # 2586 is holding their fish fry . from 5:00p to 7:30p located at 829 Windsor rd Teaneck. Prices are $12 per plate. They will also be collecting for the food banks of St. Joseph's Church of Bogota. As well as St. Anastasia of Teaneck.

The Bogota Band Parents will have a Pasta dinner fundraiser starting at 4:00p going until 8:00p. Tickets are $7.00 for Adults, $5.00 for Students and Seniors. It will take place at the Bogota Rec. Center at 162 W. Main St Bogota.

The St. Joseph's School Girl Scout troop # 4744 had it's annual blood drive yesterday at the Bogota Rec Center. This years drive was in-conjugation with the American Red Cross.

Fish Fry

Teaneck Knight of Columbus # 2586 will hold a Fish Fry Fri. 30- March. It will be at the Knight of Columbus Hall at829 Windsor Rd. Teaneck. Dinner will start at 5:00p and go to 7:30p. Cost will be $12 per plate which will include Fish , Fries, Cole Slaw. and a Dessert.
The hall will be collecting food for the Easter fool drive for the St..Joseph's food pantry. They will be looking for can goods, boxed rice, potatoes,cakes mixes, paper products will also be excepted.

The Bogota Band Parents will hold a Pasta Dinner fund raiser on Sat. 31-March. It will be at the Bogota Rec. Center 162 W. Main St. Bogota , NJ. The dinner will start at 4:00p and go until 8:00p. Tickets are $7.00 for Adults, $5.00 for Students and Seniors. Children under the age of 10 will be free. For more information please contact Sal Donatacci by email at so35@aol.com.
On a personal note the announcement of last years pasta dinner by the Band parents was the very first item posted on Bogota Blog NJ. The dinner it's self was the first event that was cover with photos on Bogota Blog NJ. I hope the past year this Blog has proved a help service to the resident of the Borough of Bogota. I what to thank everyone who visits the web site, and facebook page. I hope it will continue to grow , and be a useful tool for living in the Borough of Bogota NJ.

Easter Egg Hunt

On Sat. 31-March the Bogota Recreation Commission will hold it's annual Easter Egg hunt. It will be held next to the Olsen Environmental Walkway. The Easter Bunny will be on hand to pass out bags that the children will use for the egg hunt. The first hunt will be for those children in preschool or younger, this will start at 9:00a. The Kindergarten to Second grade will start at 9:20a . With the Grades 3&4 starting at 9:40a.
Please be at the walkway 10 minutes before the time of the child's age group is set to start.
The rain date will be Sat. 7-April also at Olsen Park.

Bogota Fire Dept. Hose Co. #2 is hosting it's annual comedy night on Sat. 14 -April-2012. This years event will be held at the Elks Lodge in Ridgefield Park located at the corner of Spruce Ave. & Cedar St. Ridgefield Park NJ. Ticket are $35 per person available in advance ,or at the door. A table for 10 may be purchased in advance for the price of $300.00 per table. Included with the admission price is Dinner, Desert, & soft drinks, with a cash bar available. Doors open at 7:00p with dinner served starting at 7:30p with the evenings entertainment starting around 8:30p
This years performers are from the Comedy Shoppe; they are Danny Lobell, Bill Chaig, & Joe Fernandes.
The process from this event will go to benefit the Hose Co. #2 operating budget. For tickets & other information please contact Rich O'Conner at 201-641-9666.

The Police Unity tour dinner that was to be originally held on 4-Nov. has been rescheduled . The new date is Mon. 9- April. It will be held at the 101Pub in Bogota, NJ. It will start at 6;00p and go until 10:00p Tickets are $25.00 and include a Buffet style dinner, plus entertainment. The 101 pub is located at 101 Queen Anne Rd. Bogota. The Bogota High School will present the musical 'The Wiz" The performances will be at the high school auditorium on Fri-16 & Sat-17 March curtain time is at 7:00p Tickets are $8.00 for Adults and $6.00 for Seniors & Students. There will be a Saturday Matinee on the 17th with the curtain time at 1:00p All tickets for the Matinee are $6.00

The Steen School PTO will hold it's first " Tricky Tray" & Pasta dinner Friday 27- April starting at 6:30p. The event will be held in the Steen Gym. Tickets for the dinner are $8.00 per person in Advance and $10.00 at the door. This is planned be to an Adult Event, please plan accordingly.
The PTO is also looking for any donations of goods and services that can be raffled off. The Steen students have been sent home with items needed for each classes "Tray" The class with the most participation filling their basket will win an ice cream party.
The PTO is also selling raffle tickets in advance in a reduced price packages.
