A large crowd took advantage of a mild December night gather at Borough Hall to help celebrate the Holiday Season. Presented by the Bogota Recreation Commission & the Bixby Girl Scouts the annual tree lighting ceremony for the citizens of Bogota. This year the Bogota Vocaleers join the Girl Scouts in singing Christmas Carols to provide the entertainment, as they where backed up by members of the Bogota High School band.
Then Santa arrived on a Bogota Fire Truck, to the delight of the crowd, to help light the Borough tree for 2011.
After the tree light many move to the W.Broad St. Fire House to enjoy Hot Chocolate & cookies, with friends and Family. "Rudolph" & "Frosty" where on hand having a good time with the children. While others waited to get a chance to talk with Santa.
