Monday 30-May;
The Borough of Bogota held their annual Memorial Day parade. Starting on Palisade Ave,It made a left onto Main Street, crossing the Albert Graf Bridge making a right on to Elm Ave, Finally ending at Borough Hall on Larch Ave.
The parade was lead by the Bogota HS Marching Band with the Mayor along with members of the council and Board of Ed walking behind. Following the Mayor were the Men & Women who served in the Armed Services for who the parade is meant for. The parade also had the usual favorites like a colonial Fife and Drum Corp. The
Bergen Pipe Band, and The Newark Symphonic Band. The VFW ,and American Legion had their "Poppy Girls" Joss Coppcock-Huegal for VFW Post ##5561, and Savannah Griffin for American Legion #117. Local groups like the Bogota Base Ball Organization, Girls Scouts , And Boy Scouts.
All the services were represented The Bogota Police,Fire & Rescue Squad march as well as showing off there equipment. The other communities came to show there support for Bogota were Hackensack ,and Oakland with their Rescue Vehicles. The Palisade Park Marching Band, along men and trucks from the Ridgefield Park Fire Department.
