Yesterday the Bogota High School class of 2011 received their diplomas at the Commencement Ceremonies held in the High School Gymnasium. Principal Gattuso welcome the Families and Friends of the Graduates. The congratulated the Students on the success of their school years. ChrisAnne Kelemen lead in singing the National Anthem. Steven Rengifo gave the Salutatory Address ,recalling the highlight and achievements of his class' senior year. First year Superintendent Dr. Pantoliano had a different type of Keynote Address to give to the Graduates. instead of the usual speech on the wishing the students the best for the future. She gave them one last "Circle Time" to remind the students how far they have come in their educational lives, and what the can achieve in the coming years.
There were musical numbers by both the Concert Band , and Choir to give the Seniors on last performance of their High School careers.
Valedictorian Stephanie Kurdach gave her address also recalling the past years of a student of the Bogota School System. She talked about the accomplishments of her class through out the year. Then thanked Family, Friends and Teachers for all of their support.
After the diplomas were handed out, and many pictures taken. Class President Yodennis Rodriguez read the Ephebic Oath, in which the new graduates pledge to honour ,and improve the community ,and country. After the Presentation of the class gift ( a new bench for the garden) Ms. Rodriguez lead the class in moving their tassels from right to left to signify their achievement of Graduation.
